Jacksonville Symphony's First Coast Nutcracker has been a tradition in North Florida for over 40 years. Under the direction of choreographer and artistic director, Rhonda Stampalia, the First Coast Nutcracker showcases internationally renowned principal dancers, our area's finest young dancers, and Tchaikovsky's best-loved melodies performed by the Jacksonville Symphony. Add beautiful costumes, amazing sets and a magical Christmas tree that grows to 33 feet and you have an especially enchanting production.

The Jacksonville Symphony is creatively reimagining  its December 2020 First Coast Nutcracker. Social distancing guidelines have given birth to exciting new choreography while limiting the number of participants that can appear on stage or occupy dressing rooms. While there will be no traditional First Coast Nutcracker auditions this year, we look forward to welcoming everyone to tryouts in August 2021. Meanwhile, continue to develop your skills and make plans to see a performance like never before on Dec. 11, 12 or 13 to keep a little Nutcracker in your holidays this year!
