Field Trip Opportunities

The Jacksonville Symphony provides a variety of educational concert opportunities throughout the school year that enhance your music curriculum and educational experiences. We encourage classrooms in grades K-12 to visit us at the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts. Learn more about our field trip opportunities below:

Youth Concerts

The Jacksonville Symphony offers two Youth Concerts each season: Preludes in the fall and Young People’s Concerts in the spring. These concerts provide access to live symphonic music for thousands of Northeast Florida students in grades 1-5. The age-appropriate performances in Jacoby Symphony Hall stimulate students' imaginations and introduce them to the sounds of an orchestra, many of them for the first time in their lives.

Preludes

October 8 & 9, 10:30AM

Preludes Concerts are catered towards students Grades 1-3 to experience classical music performed by a live symphony.

These 45-minute concerts are specially curated to engage children with all of the instruments and sounds of the orchestra, with musical learning moments in a fun and entertaining setting.
