Besides being a talented musician, Aaron Brask is a skilled nine ball player. He comes from a musical family where his mother was a singer, father a pianist and brother a drummer.

What do you want patrons of the Symphony to know about you?
I was an Eagle Scout at a very young and earned 42 merit badges. Since my troop was very active I looked like quite the overachiever.

Do you have any pre-concert rituals or routines?
I warm up 20-30 minutes daily before breakfast and the world reaches out.

What would you be doing if you weren’t a professional musician?
Since I got my wish I never thought about it.

What teacher, mentor or other influencer inspired you the most?
James Decker, he played everything from the original Star Trek to Stravinsky Conducts Stravinsky.

What do you do in your spare time?
Pocket billiards and tennis.

What has been your favorite moment on stage?
Pavarotti standing onstage singing along with our incidental music while cooling off with a hairdryer. This was during the concert.

Who is your favorite composer?
I don’t have one. Every time I think I don’t like a piece I hear a great performance that changes my mind.
