Matt Bickett

Matt Bickett bridges old and new in his performances at the organ and harpsichord. A prize-winning performer and committed researcher, his synthesis of performance and scholarship enlivens the music of the classical tradition with compelling ideas that matter most to us today. Reviewers have described his performances as “rare and interesting” (Cleveland Classical) and “masterfully negotiated” (Bloomington Herald Times). Bickett holds graduate degrees in historically informed performance and religion from Yale University’s Institute of Sacred Music and from the Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music. Alongside his performances across the U.S. and Europe, he serves as Director of Music Ministries and Organist at the historic Riverside Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Florida.
