Make an impact — share the LOVE!

The Jacksonville Symphony enhances and enriches the community on the stage of the Jacoby Symphony Hall and on the many “stages” in our diverse neighborhoods, in many tangible ways. Contributions from people like you created the following “impactful music moments:”

♥  Over 255,000 people and students attended our live programming, up from 165,000 three years ago;

♥  The full Symphony performed the Holiday Concert at Mayo Clinic, which was also live-streamed to all patient rooms at its three facilities (Jacksonville, Arizona, Minnesota). Musician ensembles performed for the elderly and infirmed at 22 senior centers and nursing homes; and

♥  Music education programs reach 70,000 students annually, at schools in four counties, at the Jacoby Symphony Hall, and through the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra.

    We can't do it without you!

    IMPACT: 14-year-old Bruce Holley, one of our JSYO students, received financial assistance through the generous help of our scholarship program. Read on about how his participation in the orchestra and playing violin has helped him grow.

    “JSYO has helped me in each of the 6 years that I’ve been part of their orchestra. Being part of the symphony is an incredible experience that every person who joins can benefit from whether it is socially, physically or mentally. I have personally benefited from it myself. Playing the violin has helped me focus on my objectives, including my school work at James Weldon Johnson College Preparatory. My future aspiration is to be a Pediatrician. ”  – Bruce Holley

    This is just one example of an incredible “impactful music moment” made possible by your support of the Jacksonville Symphony. However, the revenue we earn from concert ticket sales only accounts for 40% of our annual operating expenses. Your generous contribution is needed to sustain the fabulous season-long programming, including our community outreach efforts and youth programs. Please help us close the 60% gap and achieve our $4.8 million Annual Fund goal!

    “Music has the power of producing a certain effect on the moral character of the soul, and if it has the power to do this, it is clear that the young must be directed to music and must be educated in it.”  – Aristotle
