The Florida Blue Classical Series is lavish with masterpieces like Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 and Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring as well as world premieres by Conrad Tao, Carlos Simon and Brittany J. Green. It also spotlights exceptional guest artists like pianist Joyce Yang, classical guitarist Miloš Karadaglić, the Marcus Roberts Trio, and conductors Robert Spano, Michael Stern and Shiyeon Sung.

Award-winning pianists Joyce Yang, Barry Douglas and Conrad Tao join the Symphony for four programs featuring the Jacksonville Symphony’s stunning Steinway concert grand piano. Spanning a colorful spectrum of classical repertoire, this series brings maestros and masters together for a spectacular season of symphonic music.

The new Greta Challen Berg Artist Series annually celebrates at least five classical and five POPs concerts highlighting the artistic achievements of the Jacksonville Symphony musicians and internationally acclaimed guest artists. In addition to the Symphony musicians, artists who are part of this series may include soloists, composers and conductors who have been curated by the Jacksonville Symphony artistic team.

In this landmark season, new music makes history of its own with not one but three world premieres. Kicking off the series is the debut of Brittany J. Green’s innovative piece from the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation Orchestral Commissions Program. Additionally, Conrad Tao rejoins the Symphony as Artist-In-Residence to unveil his new Piano Concerto. In a monumental season finale, Carlos Simon returns to introduce his latest work, a Jacksonville Symphony commission titled Zodiak. Rachmaninoff’s Second Concerto
Celebrate your favorite artists in tributes like Parrots + Palms: The Songs of Buffett & Fins, Dancing Queens: Cher, Donna Summer, Whitney Houston & More and other collaborative programs that showcase the Eagles, John Williams, Olivia Newton-John and many more.
This matinee favorite starts with coffee in the lobby followed by stirring music from a wide variety of select classical and pops concert programs.

Luke Skywalker begins a journey that will change the galaxy in Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert. Nineteen years after the formation of the Empire, Luke is thrust into the struggle of the Rebel Alliance when he meets Obi-Wan Kenobi, who has lived for years in seclusion on the desert planet of Tatooine. Obi-Wan begins Luke’s Jedi training as Luke joins him on a daring mission to rescue the beautiful Rebel leader Princess Leia from the clutches of Darth Vader and the evil Empire.
