This season we celebrate the 71st year since the founding of the Jacksonville Symphony. We are so grateful that we have been able to open our doors and continue our mission to enrich the human spirit through symphonic music.

In an interview with News4Jax, Music Director Courtney Lewis said, “For us musicians, and I know for our audience as well, one of the most important things is hearing live music. There’s something about hearing music in a group together that is a very powerful and rich emotional experience.” This season we continue to connect and build that emotional experience for our local community, while keeping our patrons safe.

The Jacksonville Symphony’s 2020/21 season is in full swing and our Symphony Gala Fundraiser and Concert will be held on March 5 & 6, 2021. In order to ensure the safety of our musicians, patrons and staff during these challenging times, our Gala weekend will include a Virtual Fundraiser on March 5 followed by a live, physically distanced concert performance on March 6 by world-renowned pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet and the Jacksonville Symphony, in Jacoby Symphony Hall. It is sure to be an exciting weekend!

Live Gala Concert

Saturday, March 6 at 7:30 PM
Courtney Lewis, Music Director
Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Pianist
International superstar pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet brings his rock-star panache to Jacoby Symphony Hall, performing one of his signature piano concertos with roots in America’s greatest musical gift to the world: jazz. Inspired by the American style’s adoption in Europe, Maurice Ravel’s G major Concerto features jazzy opening and closing movements that bracket a resplendent middle movement where time seems to stand still. Thibaudet follows with Gershwin’s variations on perhaps his most famous tune, "I Got Rhythm."
