ARIAS (Amelia
Residents In Action for the Symphony)
ARIAS continues pursuing its three main goals by engaging the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra to perform at Amelia Island, encouraging residents of Nassau County to attend JSO concerts, and bringing music education to students in Nassau Countyim.
ARIAS hosts an annual fund-raising black-tie dinner/concert and a Memorial Day weekend concert, titled "Let Freedom Ring." ARIAS also sponsors Amelia Nights at the Symphony, which include dinner, transportation, and concert.
ARIAS' music education programs continue to be very successful. ARIAS sponsors 500 Nassau County students to attend a JSO concert at Jacoby Hall and hundreds of Nassau County students will experience various ensembles of JSO musicians in their schools. The ARIAS Instrument Zoo has been enthusiastically received by numerous fourth grade elementary school students and its outreach also includes scholarships for students at the Amelia Arts Academy.
ARIAS is proud and delighted to support the symphony financially in many ways. In addition to the dues of more than 400 members, ARIAS is sponsored in part by First Coast Community Bank, and other gracious donors.
