Education: Bachelor of Music from the Curtis Institute of Music
Why the trumpet? “My father was a trumpet player and he would let me play a few notes every day when he came home from work.”
Performance: Brian played with the Charleston Symphony for three years and one year in the Orquesta Sinaloá de los Artes in Culiacan, Mexico. He was also the substitute trumpet wit the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Family: Wife Amber
Pet: Santana, a yellow lab
Favorite moment with the JSO: “The first time I sat on stage in performance as a member of the Jacksonville Symphony.”
Favorite composers: “Bach and any Mahler symphony I can get my hands on!”
Hobbies and leisure: Golf, target shooting, cooking, and spending time with his wife and Santana
