Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra Parent Association
The JSYO Parent Association was founded to support the JSYO in its efforts to provide quality music education, training and performance opportunities for the youth of the First Coast. As a parent of a student in the JSYO, you are automatically a member of the JSYO/PA.

WELCOME
Welcome all new and returning JSYO parents. We are looking forward to a wonderful new season and of course the opportunity to work with all our fantastic JSYO parents. Parents are asked to volunteer a minimum of eight hours a year. Listed are the many volunteer opportunities to choose from. Please consider being an active member of the JSYO Parent Association - sign up at orientation.
Parent Volunteers needed for the following Orchestra activities:
- Orchestra Retreat Chaperones- needed from each orchestra to assist with the fall orchestra retreat.
- Concert Chaperones–parents needed from each orchestra to assist the Orchestra Assistant with the concert duties.
- Photographer–needed from each orchestra to take/collect JSYO photos for scrapbook.
- Orchestra Party Helpers- needed to assist with the Fall and Valentine parties and the end of the year Senior Recognition party.
Parent Volunteers needed to assist with Parent Association Activities:
- Concert Reception Helpers–needed to work with the Hospitality on the Fall, Spring and Major/Minor Concert receptions. These receptions require setting up, serving and/or cleaning up.
- Concert Recital Helpers- needed to assist the Hospitality Committee in providing receptions for the Chamber Music program and Concerto Competition.
- Polo Shirt Sales–parents needed to assist with collecting orders and distributing shirts in both the fall and spring
- Fund-raising–Work with Parent Association on the Parent Association Annual Fund and Program Ad Campaign.
- Historian–needed to help maintain scrapbook.
