The Orchestra

60 Years of Musical Excellence and Community Partnership

For 60 years, the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra’s commitment to excellence has elevated our civic pride and quality of life. And for the past 10 seasons, Music Director Fabio Mechetti has continually led the orchestra to new artistic heights.

Serving the community both on and off the stage, the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra musicians are resident artists who enrich our lives in many ways, from performing in community venues, to teaching and mentoring our youth.

In addition to a full season of concerts in Jacoby Hall, musicians give more than 100 educational ensemble performances in schools and senior centers. Nearly 80,000 schoolchildren annually experience their artistry through the Symphony’s comprehensive education programs. Many also share their skills as coaches for the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra.
